A few of you may know that I have a thing for the beauty in decay. When I came across these images photographed by genius photographer Andrew Moore, I nearly fell of my chair. The pictures show so much beauty, and the images makes me think of past times, lost love, forgotten moments. Romantic, sad and a bit eerie all at the same time. What do you think? Absolutely amazingly beautiful or ?

Nice friday:)))
These are all different places & spaces right? I think they look amazing and at the same time make me a little sad.. Like you say "what was ones loved". The pictures make you think..
ReplyDeletedefinitely absolutely amazing and beautiful. and a little heartbreaking and sad, too. these are very strong pictures. full of emotions. love love love them. thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning pics!
ReplyDeleteMe too I feel attracted by beauty in decay.. I wonder why.. maybe it's because of all the glorious stories hiddend behind it.
ReplyDeleteBeauty in decay it's like a beautiful old woman, you can see the beauty hidden in the wisdom and the flowing of time..
I like it, but the photos also have something strange... My neighbors also regularly go looking for such deserted houses so I regularly see pictures from them. I really love it, they make vey beautiful pictures, but they have always something strange.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend! Xx Herma
Intriguing shots! I don't know why but the last but one gave me goose bumps... the past, indeed...
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this wonderful work!
Have a great weekend!
Powerful photos! thank you for sharing them, Anya!
ReplyDeleteSo do I.
ReplyDeleteI love the stories and History those spaces suggest.
Like an old lady refusing to let go of her purple hat.
True beauty - in buildings also - ages well.
Love that second pic and its' remark on the wall "(only) My Heart is Missing".
Love,
T
I love that too Teresa, and also the picture below where it looks like the clock has melted away! Dali-esque :)

It makes me sad to see the decay of what looked like grand old buildings and homes diminished into shells of what they once were. I wish there were more renovations going on in these places to bring back the life they once had. The second image and the words scrawled onto the mirror "My heart is missing" makes me wonder why they wrote that?
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Anya! :)
Just beautiful. These images look so haunting and still, and the message on that mirror makes me kinda sad. Absolutely gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteThese images are beautiful! The place is still stunning but slightly haunting. What a gorgeous post!
ReplyDeletexoxo, Meera
Definitely beauty of it's own. I think our eyes are not trained to beauty like this. One must be a bit advanced to see it. I do love it though and wish I could see it with my own eyes. WOnderful post and great to think about it! Christa
ReplyDeleteWWWWOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love where decaying parts the beautiful imagery, like the beauty of the death and the undead, like everything builds up together.
ReplyDeleteOnce again places I would have loved to be able to photograph. These pics are amazing. Imagine to be there by yourself early in the morning....with your camera...
ReplyDeleteI have fallen in love now!!!!!
