On next Sunday it is the 1st Sunday of Advent, which for us Danes kickstarts Christmas. So as it is tradition, we make an Advent candle decoration, with four candles - one for each Sunday leading up to Christmas. The idea is to light the first one, then the 2, (you get the drift) at the end the decoration has 4 lit candles- all different sizes!
This year I have decided to use my Kubus candleholder, as my Advent candle decoration. Designed by architect Mogens Lassen in 1962, the Kubus candleholder is danish design at its best. Beautifully designed, functional and with cool clean lines, it is a timeless danish classic.
