Gatsby inspired day

31/05/2013

I am yet to see The great Gatsby {with the equally great Leo} so to keep the momentum going I have taken upon myself to delight you with my Gatsby inspired day: Hope you enjoy:
Arriving in style
Dressing to impress
The girls out on the town
Champagne naturally
Our venue
Where we dine
Heading home after a long night

So what do you think? Did this bring you right back? I adore the style of the period, the opulence and the chivalry. And now I have to drag my Mr. to the Cinema to see The Great Gatsby movie.
Can't wait. Happy weekend to you.

  1. I love this period so much. I love the fashion, the dance the everything. I've read the book and we just watched the old movie with Robert Redford and Mia Farrow. You should watch that first and then see the new movie, just to compare. :) Have a great weekend.

    Love,

    Shauna xo

  5. I also adore the style of that period! In Helsinki there's a kind of pop up champagne bar for Great Gatsby...

  9. What beautiful images. How stunning was that time?

I did go and see the movie last weekend. I had waited as was not keen on the 3D and the critics reviews.
Well, I LOVED it! Not a massive fan of Leo generally and not wanting someone else to play Robert Redford, it surpassed all my expectations. The cast was excellent, the sets and fashion to die for and the 3D, in parts, fabulous.

    Go and treat yourself. xx
