Dark and handsome

10/06/2013

Wow-tastic Melbourne home belonging to designer Chelsea Hing,  photographer Nik Epifanidis and their baby boy Louis. I am totally in love with their colourscheme, encompassing lovely lines, furniture and designer tidbits here and there. A luxurious feel throughout, makes for very cool living. What do you think? Is it to dark for you, or a much needed change from the pale interiors we usually see? Happy Monday all you lovely people - may the week ahead be full of bliss.

  1. Love it! Which is a little strange because I generally prefer walls to be white and the space to feel very airy. All the cool details really make it though.

Thanks for your comment. I wasn't aware that you don't really have markets in Denmark either. At least we have some here. I really miss being able to walk around and buy really, actually fresh (not the kind that has been transported half way round the world in a fridge) food to enjoy. One day, one day... ;-)

Have a lovely start to the week xo

  5. Lovely :) Vild med mørke vægge (selv om jeg dog også er rigtig glad for mine hvide vægge...). Men det ser giver bare noget ekstra med de mørke vægge, og det her er da bare det perfekte eksempel. Tak for inspiration!

  7. The dark walls really make the accessories pop out. I love the blue Bitossi ceramics and the red anglepoise lamp.

  13. Not a huge fan of the dark, however, it is always inspiring to see that people can still create such beautiful spaces. Lovely,

    Shauna xoxo

  14. Such an elegant home. I love this style, sophisticated, a little bit masculine. Maybe I wouldn't decorate my entire house this way, but I have dark coloured furniture that works so well against the white walls.
