Sunset

13/08/2013

As a photographer, I always have my camera with me, and often stop in my tracks to get the perfect image. This evening was no exception:  We were in Spain, on our way home from dinner, the sun was setting and we drove through the rural farmlands before getting to our place. Simply breathtaking I think. Sunset & manmade  industrial machinery. Pure Perfection.

  1. I too get excited by these types of scenes...the contrast between the industrial and the natural does create a striking form of beauty, I do so agree with you. What a glorious sunset!! xx

    1. I love the silhouettes - they're magic aren't they ;-) It's the contrast between nature and man that gets me all the time. Also a huge fan of derelict buildings -with nature growing there, running wild. Can't get enough of those either ;-)

  2. Absolutely stunning images. You're so right, the contrast between manmade heavy machinery and the beauty of nature is always really interesting. Love the photos. Hope you're well and having a good week. xo

  3. Stunning, Anya. We saw a sunset like this in Tuscany last year and it blew my mind as we sat on the side of a mountain in a tiny restaurant eating dinner. Amazing! x

  6. That's why it's so good to keep a camera on you! HAHAHA Anya, these are some really good photos you took. I love how you captured the sun. So pretty. I keep at least my cell phone on me.

    1. My camera is generally too heavy to carry around, but in Spain I did it, because I missed the most insane shot of a goat herd and his goats one evening I hadn't brought anything with me. I'm still gutted about that shot - it would've been epic ha ha.
