New York brownstone

09/09/2013

Lighting designer Michelle James' Brooklyn home is an elegant mix of eBay and thrift store findings, upcycled fixtures and a whole load of my currently favorite textile: the opulent velvet. I am ever so fond of the way she manages to keep to a warm dark colour palette,  mixing in her own work throughout. A very cool and charming home.

  1. Wow... It's ok, she can keep all the furniture, I'll just have the "bare" bones - you know, the ceiling, floor, amazing glass doors... Hope you've had a good weekend, have a great start to the week xo

  8. Hi Anya,

Such a pretty home. I love the colors throughout. Some people seem to know instinctively what to place with what to achieve the most relaxing and interesting homes. Lovely!
