A brief post

14/11/2013

Today was manic, I decided to queue with my sister for the Isabel Marant for H&M collection. Well wouldn't you know, it was mayhem to say the least. People grabbing 10 items of clothing (or more) and holding on to them for dear life. Did we get anything?? Well yes, it turned out we had a few bits many wanted, so we swapped our way to a woolly cardi and a blazer. In and out in 30 mins. So for some tranquility and to clear my mind I bring you these chaps. Perhaps you have seen them before, but I still think this image is absolutely stunning, and the perfect Autumn picture.  Happy Thursday people.

  1. This IS the perfect autumn picture! So beautiful! I shopped the Isabel Marant collection too, but I didn't queue. In fact I had even forgotten about it and got there late. :) I was surprised to find a few items I really loved and bought: I got the blazer too, the navy cap and the brown boots. Tell me about women grabbing at least 10 items of clothing? At some point, it didn't even matter if the size fitted or not. :)

    1. I know Ada, it was insane really. We went there - got in and nearly turned around again. Managed to grabt a few bits, and then swapped them for the pieces we liked. We were lucky. Internet went down in a second. Now it's all over ebay and the like for much more, a quick way to make a few quid I guess :)

  2. I can imagine it being crazy! There was no way I would have gone near H&M today, I like her stuff, but having seen some previews, I wasn't really convinced about the collaboration... Well done on getting the things you wanted though :-) Now enjoy the rest of your day xo

  3. This is why I don't go anymore to the H&M launches. And real pitty but it has become a bit shabby. Happy though for you you managed to leave with a nice loot! xx

    1. It's just the epitome of the sales really, nutty ladies grabbing everything they can get their hands on. I don't do sales either. But alas glad I went after all, wasn't too bad for us:)

  5. It's an epidemy it seems... I read about that kind of mayhem in other places in the world. How can you even manage to understand what you're grabbing at? And if it fits? Though I feel that much of that crayness is provoked by people who won't use it but will sell it afterwards.

Enjoy tranquility of a nice cup of tea and the reassurance that your blazer fits ahahahahah

    Love,

    1. Victoria Beckham - now that's not really my thang - not a dress kinda gal - but who knows!! H&M are very smart though collaborating with these designers - it's a MAJOR sellout and the hype is going on for ages :)

  12. I had to laugh when I read your post today...it reminded me of the time I attended a "truth day sale" when I was in my 20's. It was in the month of February and when the doors opened people rushed in (me with them) in hordes. LOL LOL It was a madhouse, a frenzy and people were grabbing things up before you could even think of what it was I had came for. I went to the area where the coats were and there was so much going on around me that I just stood there. Then, I spotted the belted camel colored midi coat (as was the style back then) that I came for and had it in my grips when this lady tried to grab it from my hands. I quickly held it close to my chest saying " Hey, this is mine, I have it". I thought there was going to be an all out tug of war between us but she retreated and asked where I got it from and I pointed to the area where they were. That was the first and last time I EVER went to a sale like that!!!
