Living with art!

31/01/2014

Beautiful home in Klampenborg, North of Copenhagen, where the owners have managed to encompass a lot of art into the way they have decorated throughout. I love how it feels like you've waked into a modern gallery. Always something to look at here. My favorite corner is the reading corner with the extra large sari cushions. Absolutely stunning home. Happy weekend everyone. We have promised to go sleighing again this afternoon, so I'll be sure to wrap up warm. xx

  4. My absolute favorite color is blue, so I'm happy to see it used in so many interesting ways in this home!

    1. I'm warming towards blue more and more, but must admit I donut have anything blue in my home - apart from our plates. This would work for me too - thanks Emma x

  5. What's not to like in this home? I love their Art. In fact, I usually say I'd rather go without a piece of furniture than a beautiful piece of art. It might sound smug and snob - not my intention - but it's true.
That's why it is so difficult to chose art for the home. And not being the bravest soul you know how affraid I always am for going overboard. But girl, if I had the courage to buy and have a piece like that HUGE one they have in what seems to be the dinning room, I would pat my own back ahahahahah
And all they did is trully magnificent. You SEE the art but then when you go through the pics a second time you can see lovely details coming from the same souls and minds...
And I just got the perfect suggestion for my coffee corner in the kitchen, about which I've been stressing for months.
Thank you Lovely for always bringing so much beauty and inspiration to me and my home. Happy sleighing! Enjoy!!! lots,
T (don't say you didn't miss my endless ramblings? ahahahah)

    1. Ahh I'm so glad I inspired you for that coffee corner. And I'd rather swap clothes for art or a piece of furniture ha ha - that's why I look like a scarecrow ;-) And I always miss your ramblings - in-fact I look forward to them :) take care sweet Teresa,

  6. Anya, this interior is just fabulous! I am a lover of big art that takes up an entire wall so this post speaks to me :) For me, art reflects certain aspects of my life and makes me appreciate the hand made life. Thank you for sharing!

    1. You're welcome Jocelyn, I love art, because someone poured their heart and soul into it. That's what I love. And art is personal, you only like what you like. We bought the most amazing painting a few years ago, a portrait of a woman - Iris by Myra Sjöberg (look it up here: http://artwork.myrasjoberg.com/#!album-5-4). It was expensive enough for us - but I look at it everyday and she makes me happy. So perfection really :) xxx

  7. I love this post. I love the blue hutch/dresser it's wonderful with the colored, rectangular art pieces above it. I love art. But, I can't afford the art I like, so the next best thing, maybe even better is kids art. I love it so much. There is no artist that can replicate children's art the way the very hand of a child can. I use their art to decorate my home and I love it so much. Thanks for sharing, it's always so lovely,

    1. Thanks Shauna - I too love art and have purchased a few bits and bobs here and there. But my fav pieces are the ones from the girls, they too adorn walls here too. And of course photographs - I adore photos, we have them everywhere. Take care lovely xxx

  10. Very pretty! I love artwork and this place has plenty to look at. I also love a bit of whimsey in my artwork too and would like to purchase some floor pillows, they seem to be popular now.

Have a great time sleighing with the kids...be safe. Once, hubby took the kids sleighing when they were small. We had a round saucer and he nearly killed himself going down a hill with them. LOL He still remembers it!!
