EGGcellent

Easter is rapidly approaching, and we are all about decorating the Easter eggs. These are a few looks that I found inspirational - hopefully ours will be as great as these. Do you decorate eggs at home?? And are they usually real eggs, polystyrene or cotton eggs. We have used the artificial kind before, but I fancy trying my hand at decorating the real ones this year, so be sure to watch this space.

  1. The gold leaf pastel eggs look gorgeous! I usually decorate real eggs at home, and I still have the (hollow!!!) ones my son decorated when he was little stashed away :-) Happy Easter, Anya, hope you'll have sunshine and a lovely time. xo

  5. Very festive egg decoration ideas! I will go back home this weekend for Easter and I am looking forward to see my mum's Easter eggs. Traditionally, she dyes them on Holy Thursday and uses onion skin as a natural colorant. Plus she picks little leaves and herbs and attaches those to the eggs and fixes them with pieces of old tights before dipping them into the colour:-)

    1. I heard of that before Igor, with the onion skins - brilliant and using the tights - even more brilliant. Happy Easter back home my lovely friend.

  6. Those are beautiful eggs. If you decorated real ones, they would be much too pretty to crack and eat. I don't do eggs anymore but did when the kids were little. Kids seem to love hunting them and it's so much fun to watch them.
