The Apple Orchard - Frydenlund Frugtplantage

15/09/2014

One of our favourite hyggelige activities to do together as a family is going fruit picking. Last year we loved picking the blackberries, but this year we went all in and headed for one of the most amazing Apple Orchards I have ever been to. Armed with baskets, we were ready. The sun was shining and it was a stunning day. We tasted our way through rows and rows of apples and were quick to find our favourites.
7 kilos later we found out they also had ripe raspberries, and pears so the day was complete. We meant to cook an Apple pie and share the recipe with you, but the apples went like - well hot cakes - and so did the rest of the fruit. I'm contemplating going back when it stops raining.

  4. I'm looking to your youngest fairy legs and imagining the fun that girl lives in daily ahahahah
Better than apple pie in my opinion. This way they can taste what they picked, like the first men and little girls :)
I miss my apples. This year I didn't have any... my sister in-laws says that species gives one year and then rest the other... I sure hope to have a bounty next year.
So glad you keep giving the girls a natural and sun filled upbringing. A true blessing.
    Wishing you a lovely week,
    Teresa

    1. So funny you should say that Teresa, she has bruises everywhere, getting new ones each day. I use a pair of legging per day almost, she comes home with holes on her knees almost daily. Bless. But she is fun - always :))
