Orangery // Greenhouse love

04/05/2015

Greenhouses have been an passion of mine for as long as I remember. I was always fascinated with the industrial look, and the way the sun played a huge part in creating a haven for growing plants. Today though people have changed old fashioned greenhouses into orangeries, and outdoor spaces. I would love one of these - a beautiful space, with light and enough warmth to sit in all year round. Also a great place to create many green plants and an urban garden that is so popular these days.

What do you think? Is an orangery something you would like, with greenery everywhere, or do you not have green fingers at all :)

Happy Monday everyone.

  1. I love greenhouses too, they are marvellous!! I'd have a big one if I could. I love the first one...perfect!! I'd love one with lots of flowers and statues and water with fish and tables and chairs for everyone to sit at with a big chandelier hanging, so we can be out there at night too. Bliss :) Happy Monday doll, I hope you have a great week Xxx

  2. Greenhouses really have a special charm. Have you ever been in Vienna to the Palmenhaus? It's a coffee shop and restaurant designed inside an historical greenhouse! :)

  6. They are really lovely! I don't have a green thumb at all, but the idea of growing things "inside" would work out MUCH better for me than outside alone.
